Dr. Kathryn Kent is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and fellowship-trained Dermatologic Surgeon. She specializes in skin cancer surgery and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Kent completed her medical training at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She then went on to complete her surgical internship as part of the integrated Plastic Surgery program of Brown University. After spending a year as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Harvard Skin Disease Research Center, Dr. Kent completed her residency in Dermatology at Boston University.
Dr. Kent has advanced fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery as well as cosmetic dermatology and laser procedures. She has completed a much sought after Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship at SkinCare Physicians and is an member of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Kent has also completed fellowship training in Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery at one of only a handful of programs accredited by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery under faculty from Yale and Brown University.
Dr. Tyler Street is a meticulous and compassionate, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He specializes in aesthetic surgery of the body and face, and complex reconstructive surgery. Dr. Street earned his B.A. in Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis where he was an Eliot Scholar. He then completed his M.D. at Texas Tech University School of Medicine, distinguishing himself with the Chairman’s Award in Surgery and election into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Street went on to complete his Plastic Surgery residency at Brown University, part of the renowned Ivy League and the longest established plastic surgery program in New England. After obtaining a firm foundation in general surgery, Dr. Street’s education included rigorous training in all of the disciplines of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery including breast surgery, craniofacial surgery, post-traumatic reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. In residency, he also served as Chief Resident, directing an entire care team and establishing himself as a leader amongst his peers.
Dr. Street then worked as one of the principal Plastic Surgeons in a busy practice in Miami, Florida, treating complex burns, wounds and facial and limb reconstruction. He has now formed a comprehensive dermatology and plastic surgery practice in Northern California with his wife, Dr. Kathryn Kent.
Dr. Street is ABPS board certified in Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Emerald Curry, PA-C
Emerald Curry is a Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. She obtained her B.S. in Health Science with a Concentration in Pre-PA Studies at California Baptist University, graduating with honors. During her undergraduate studies, Emerald worked at a free clinic that catered to a predominately unhoused population. While at the clinic she saw many rashes and skin conditions which piqued her interest in dermatology. She went to PA School at UC Davis where she received a Master of PA Studies. After graduation, she has worked in dermatology for several years as it is her passion. She is currently a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and is undergoing a fellowship to learn even more about her favorite field of medicine. Emerald feels that there is no greater honor than to help others improve their health. She is excited to see patients’ skin ailments improve daily at Valley Dermatology and Plastic Surgery.
